Acousticisms, for string quartet and electronics explores a fusion of live performance and digitally manipulated textures. Extended violin and viola techniques are electronically manipulated to create a dynamic interplay with live strings. Influenced by minimalism, this work has been an exciting new exploration of compositional technique for Daniel. The Pax Quartet will debut this innovative dialogue between tradition and technology.
